I’ve seen a bit of everything—from local beginnings in Victoria, Australia to leading global brands in New York. One thing I’ve learned: there’s huge value in bouncing your daily decisions (work or life) off someone who brings a new viewpoint. I didn’t always have that, but I know now how much it helps.

I’m still on my own journey, and the path so far has taught me plenty—lessons I wouldn’t trade for anything. Now, I’m keen to share and confidentially bounce ideas with others.

My core belief is simple: trust your instincts, bounce them off someone you trust and try to make more good decisions than bad.

My Journey

I’ve been immersed in the corporate world, lived abroad for a global company, managed thousands of people, hired and fired, restructured, faced redundancy, started businesses, served on boards (including for AFL and philanthropy), raised capital, studied, invested across all stages of growth—all while being married and raising three kids.

My career started as a graphic artist earning $18k a year for a global brand. That job—and the ability to travel—opened my eyes. I went back to uni to pursue what really interested me, changing my direction for the first (but not last) time.

In my early days, my main focus was just doing great work and pushing myself. Money took a back seat. I cleaned toilets to pay the bills, then steadily moved from design to product management, then to executive, then CEO/MD.

I joined boards—one AFL club for seven years, others focused on giving back. There were doubts, failures, and many pivots. I tried two startups while working full-time; both flopped. I wouldn’t change those experiences, but I do wish I’d had a trusted person to bounce ideas off.

At one point, I packed up my whole family and moved to New York for three years. Most people said at my stage of life we couldn't and shouldn't do it. So we did it. We broke out of our comfort zone, and when we returned to Australia and left corporate life, everyone expected me to jump straight back in—but I chose a different path.

I started investing and consulting across diverse industries and kept on learning. I got deep into startups, new markets, and watched some take off, while others fizzled out.

Eventually, the Bounce idea took shape. Friends and colleagues regularly asked to grab coffee and chat through decisions, big and small. I found I enjoyed those catch-ups just as much as they did.

What I realized—everyone faces doubts, questions, inner challenges, need for reassurance and tough decisions, but no one’s journey is the same. Most self-help books, apps, or presentations are generic, and never really hit home for the individual.

So, I had a choice: jump back into the big end of corporate or help others find their way while still growing myself through conversations. I chose the later - these days I enjoy helping others make clear decisions and feel peace with where they’re headed.

If I can help people trust their gut and navigate this wild ride—work and life—I’m in.

We’re all on a journey. Any way I can help, I will.
